Philippines, an official self- subsistent country
June
12, 1998, such an eventful day, the day when our land was officially become a
self- reliant country, the day when this land of ours attain the state of being
free such as the absence of necessity, coercion and liberation from slavery.
The
day has come to assimilate and celebrate the anniversary of our country’s
independence from one country that ruled it in the past. There’s no more
barrier that’ll makes us difficult to move in our own or should I say, there is
what we call heteronomy.

But even though we are now an independent country, our land still having this problem. ‘Our Youth is the solution to solve this and it is the only key to improve our beloved country’… does this really exists? I don’t think so.

Some teens do not give a damn about our independence. We all know that our country is democratic and others are just abusing it, the fact that they don’t think if that’s wrong or right. Think first, let Rizal’s, Bonifacio’s, Mabini’s blood run into ours.
As
a teenager, I can tell that my generation are made up of intelligent kids who
were so used in gadgets and other technological equipment. Some of us can’t
even recite/ sing the national anthem but they can sing some foreign languages
like Koreans, Japanese, Spanish and more. It hurts to know that even the
citizen of this country doesn’t give any attention to their local artist, the
only thing they know is about kpop etc.
This is a challenge to anyone, don’t let foreign languages ruin or lead us. We have our own language and let us use it.
