Vigan City's Solidarity Celebrations
Solidarity
is a unity between people who have the same interests, goals etcetera. Bigueño
possesses unity that’s why Vigan City is a very productive place and I think
that’s one of the reason why this destination is included in the 7 Wonders of
the World.
Solidarity
Celebration, another reason to visit Vigan for they have a preserved heritage
structure. This city aimed to strengthen the pride of their cultures and own
products.
Let’s
soak in to the history of Vigan! During this celebration, you’ll be able to
watch a parade wherein the participants dramatize the Bigueño’s way of life
from the Spaniards while walking through the designated parade route.

There
are also Historia Oral where senior citizen’s federation would be able to share
their experiences through storytelling. They also have the unforgettable
rice-based delicacies like bibingka, bagnet, empanada, longganisa, ukoy,
chicha- corn and other food associated with Vigan.
They
have ‘Visita Museo ken Balbalay’, where narrators read accounts of the life of
the owners of the mansions and museums that are toured. Participants are also
guided through the cobbled stone-past of Vigan streets and back to the concrete
present.
