Must Protect the Environment

Image
The natural environment encompasses all living and non-living things occurring naturally, meaning in this case not artificial. The term is most often applied to the Earth or some parts of Earth. This environment encompasses the interaction of all living species, climate, weather and natural resources that affect human survival and economic activity.     Environmental quality has become a matter of great public concern in the recent years. Significant progress has been made, particularly in controlling the visible and obvious forms of environmental pollution. Environmental regulations like most regulations are often complex and may lead to increased costs.     We need to cooperate now and fix this horrible problem that might be become our worst nightmare in the future. Children's Month Celebration

Image
Children - people, in other words - are not "for" anything. We have children simply because we can. We have children because without them the world is devoid of innocence and magic. We have children because they add perspective, a time-line to our lives, linking us to our own childhoods and to the future.          Children need love and affection because it helps them feel safe, comforts them, helps them feel accepted and builds self-esteem. T hey have right to be healthy, educated, play and recreate.  Let’s protect children  from abuse and harm. Source:  https://www.doj.gov.ph/news_article.html?newsid=639

Values Month Celebration 2019

Image
Values education is teaching and learning about the ideals that a society deems important. The aim is for students not only to understand the values, but also to reflect them in their attitudes and behavior, and contribute to society through good citizenship and ethics.         An exemplary citizen is made, not born. Just as we learn mathematics and languages, we should also become specialists in those lessons that are fundamental to living in harmony and social progress such as respect, empathy, equality, solidarity and critical thinking. Without these and other ethical principles that define us as human beings, it will be difficult for us to build a better world.   Reference:  https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-importance-of-value-education-for-students                    https://www.iberdrola.com/talent/value-education Source:  https://www.eaglenews.ph/filipino-values-month/

UN Celebration

Image
October 24, it’s the 74th Anniversary of the United Nations with the theme ‘Indigenous Languages Matter for Sustainable Development Peace Building and Reconciliation’. For instance, many schools all over the world celebrate the diversity of their student body by honoring United Nations Day just like our school, Ilocos Sur National High School. People all over the world can also celebrate United Nations Day on their own if they wish. They can do so by not only showing pride in the cultural practices of their country of origin or the country of origin of their ancestors, but they can also take the time to learn about another culture.
